Car Tour – Fann Mountains

Arrival to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. Then, through Varzob Gorge, departure to Zerafshan Valley until the legendary Iskanderkul Lake (2200 m), lunch in the same place. Then, walk to the “Fann Niagara” falls. Overnight in the Saritag village (2300m), located near the Iskanderkul. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.

After breakfast, ascent to the “Head of Iskanderkul” valley, there is a very good view of the beautiful Iskanderkul Lake and surroundings. Picnic, descent back to Saritag. Then – departure to the Alouddin Lake. Dinner and overnight in tents near the lake.

After breakfast, hike around the lakes Piyola (320 m), Guitar (2700 m), and Alouddin (2700 m). From there you can see the beautiful peaks Chapdara (5050 m), Castle (5060 m), and the most beautiful and highest peak of Fann Mountains – Chimtargha (5489 m). Lunch at the camp, afterwards – a free walk around the lake.

Departure towards the Seven lakes in the valleys of Fann Darya and Zerafshan rivers, acquaintance with the rich mountain nature, taking photos. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in tents near Marguzor Lake (2200 m).

Ascent to seventh lake – Hazorchashma and descent to the Padrud Lake. Picnic on the way. Hike around Padrud village. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.

After breakfast, while admiring the other lakes landscape, descent to Penjikent. Lunch at the tea house, afterwards – a tour of the historical-ethnographic museum Rudaki and Penjikent Bazaar. Dinner and overnight at the guest house.

After breakfast, drive to Khujand – an ancient city in northern Tajikistan. The city is political, economic, cultural and scientific center of the country. Drive through the Shahristan Pass (3378 m). Lunch on the way. After lunch, visit to the historic city of Istaravshan. In there, a tour of the bazaar – a great place to communicate with the local Tajiks, and to local blacksmiths. Also, a visit to the Mougteppa Fortress and Kuk–Gumbaz mosque. Next – continuation of the travel to Khujand. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at the guest house

After breakfast, a tour in the city of Khujand, including a visit to the historical museum of the city, to the Sheikh Muslihiddin Madrasah, and to Panjshanbe Oriental bazaar. Afterwards – transfer to the Tajik- Uzbek border “Oybek”.
